Conquering the twisted, unforgiving tree lined gravel roads of the Oregon Trail Rally at speeds often above the posted Freeway speeds might seem extreme or downright insane, but Rally Racers like Chip Miller do it every chance they can. Stage Rally always has some new tricks around the bend... and that's what makes Rally the most challenging form of Motorsports on the Planet. It is a race against the clock more that other competitors. A race against the odds. A mental game of riding the cutting edge of disaster while negotiating unknown roads. NOT for the faint of heart!
So far for 2005... Doo Wop1 6th place in G2, Doo Wop2 8th place in G2,Wagons Ho! 4th place in G2, Oregon or Bust alternator problems led to being time barred, Trails End 3rd place in G2, Dryad Quest 2nd place G2, Shitepoke 1 place G2, Mountain Trials 2nd place G2, Ray's Rambler 1st G2, Janice's Jaunt 1st G2.
Fast forward to Pacific Forest Rally where Chip and Kathryn were ON FIRE, finishing 1st in Class for BOTH days of the event. PreGrid was there at the close of the event where we discovered a quite tradition of a personal Champagne Spray for the Team and Crew celebrating not only their Victory but another completed Rally. Great job guys!
Wild West Rally was a short shot later.... not nearly enough time to recover from PFR. The teams hit the course with their trusty Honda steed among some fierce competition. At the end of day one, they had worked their way to a 5th place in class finish. Admittedly pacing themselves, the team stepped up the competition for day two taking place after place and ultimately taking 1st place in Class. Another in a string of 1st place victories for the 2005 Rally Season.
With the exception of Oregon or Bust 2005 the car has been very reliable and has consistently finished. As seen by our award history the Team consistently finishes events and places well. The car was chosen because of Honda's reputation of producing more naturally aspirated horsepower than any other manufacturer and for Honda's reliability. The car was built and is maintained by Chip Miller
The 2006 Season Schedule is pending as planning is underway. Look forward to another great performance from this talented team as well as some EXCITING driving... as always.
